A black belt under Ryan and Rickson Gracie in Brazil, Mario Yokoyama moved to Australia in 2007 bringing with him a wealth of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu knowledge and vision to share the Gracie family legacy in Australia.
The Gracie Oceania Association had its humble beginnings with a couple of local students, and has now grown into an international Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Team with a full-time academy in Marrickville and several associated clubs throughout Australia, Japan, New Zealand and Brazil.
Although our team is still young, we have drawn on the expertise and experience of our leadership team and friends to develop programs and strategies to accelerate the progress of our students and instructors, and ultimately our team.
At the business end, we strive to work ethically and consistently to establish strong partnerships with our students and friends that best suits both parties. We believe that through responsible management and business practices, the Gracie Oceania Association and its partners will enjoy continued success and growth in the long-term.
